MayaOnline provides an overview of the applications running in your Kubernetes enabled OpenEBS cluster across the cloud. This section will help user to see overall application information such as Application name,Type, image used, status, granular details of the OpenEBS volume being mounted on the application and namespace where the application is deployed. It also show the application analytics and user can see the litmus job results run against the application. From this section, users can schedule the data motion of an application to an external storage location and there by user can backed up the application.
Managing the Applications
To check the Applications running on the cluster, go to the cluster page and click on Applications. Here user can manage all the applications running on the cluster and also get the following related data.
- Type of application such as a deployment or a StatefulSet.
- The Image used by the applications.
- The Namespace where the application has deployed.
- Application Analytics icon which will show the application related analytics.
- Litmus results icon will help tp get the result of the Litmus job as graph which is performed against the corresponding application.
Monitoring the Associated OpenEBS Volumes
In the corresponding application page, you will find the details of OpenEBS volume which is mounted on it such as PVC name, Status, Total Capacity, Replicas, CAS type of storage Engine used. The monitoring of associated OpenEBS volume can be get by clicking on Volume analytics icon shown to the left side of the particular volume from the Application page. This will go to the page where corresponding volume is associated with the application. It will show the volume analytics of the corresponding volume such as Storage Capacity , IOPS and throughput of all volumes belongs to the application.
Overall Information of Associated OpenEBS Volumes
This section provides the overall details of OpenEBS volumes associated with the Application. This will give an overall information of total used storage capacity and total allocated capacity, IOPS usage and throughput of all associated volumes.
Data Motion Schedule
This section will help to schedule the data motion of an application to an external object storage location such as Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, MinIO, etc. By clicking on New backup schedule, it will ask details for scheduling the data motion. More details for scheduling the data motion can be get from here. Once the Data motion schedule has been created, corresponding schedule details will be displayed under this section. The backups can be checked by clicking on the schedule name.
